What are you reading Monday

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story SirenBook Journey hosts something similar through It's Monday! What are you reading?  I use a little bit of both.

I had a great, crazy week of reading.  Due to Dewey's Read-a-thon, I read a ton, or at least it felt like it.  I haven't turned on the TV in several days, which is odd for me.  But I've been loving it.

Books Finished:
The Inn At Eagle Point (Chesapeake Shores) - Sherryl Woods (review to come)
Flowers On Main - Sherryl Woods (review to come)
Evermore: The Immortals - Alyson Noel (review to come)
She's Gone Country - Jane Porter (review)
On the Steamy Side (Recipe for Love) - Louisa Edwards (I'll review if I have time)
Sooner or Later (Deliverance Company #2) - Debbie Macomber (I'll review if I have time)

So I have lots of reviews to finish.  The read-a-thon sort of threw me off, because I read so much and did not review much.  But it's my plan to catch up some this week.

Books to Read:
Harbor Lights (Chesapeake Shores) - Sherryl Woods
Twenty Wishes - Debbie Macomber
Deja Dead: 10th Anniversary Edition (Temperance Brennan Novels) - Kathy Reichs

Books I received:
This week was a crazy week for Goodreads swap.  (Ok, I got a little carried away this week...)  I hope to get through most of these in the next few weeks.
The Rose Red Bride -  Claire Delacroix
Under Her Skin (Lone Star Sisters) - Susan Mallery
A Woman's Heart - JoAnn Ross
The Sparkling One - Susan Mallery
Home for the Holidays - Johanna Lindsey
A Beautiful Blue Death (Charles Lenox Mysteries) - Charles Finch
The September Society (Charles Lenox Mysteries) - Charles Finch
Blindness - Jose Saramago
The Kite Runner - Khaled Hosseini
Masquerade (Blue Bloods, Book 2) - Melissa De La Cruz
A Whole New Light - Sandra Brown
One Reckless Summer: A Destiny Novel - Toni Blake
Odd Thomas - Dean Koontz
The Measure of a Lady: A Novel - Deeanne Gist
Dance upon the Air (Three Sisters Island Trilogy) - Nora Roberts
Jewels of the Sun - Nora Robers

I'll just leave my goal at three books, as I work three nights this week and need to catch up on reviews.  But obviously if I finish those, I'll have lots more to read.  We'll see what happens.  It looks to be an exciting week.

Hope everyone has a good Monday and beginning of the week!

  1. I am in the same book as you with catching up on reviews. Usually I spend time on the weekends reading and writing, but this weekend between cheering and reading I didn't write a thing.

    Have a great week!

  3. Oh, I absolutely want to read She's Gone Country. I recently read one of Porter's other books.

    Also adore anything by Macomber.

I need to read the Nora Roberts Three Sisters Island trilogy, too.

I have a lot of catching up to do!

  4. I'm so glad to hear that others are catching up to do as well. Makes me feel like less of a slacker. :) Thanks everyone for stopping by.

Jan, the read-a-thon set me back as well. But I was so glad I could participate. Thanks for the cheering, as I know it brightened some readers days.

Teddyree, I had mixed feelings about Evermore as well, but I couldn't put it down. Maybe that's why I'm putting off writing the review. Guess I'll have to lock myself in my room and just do it.

Laurel, I absolutely loved She's Gone Country. So I definitely recommend you pick it up. Your Monday and week looks interesting as well, and I"ll be interested to hear what you think of the books you pick up this week. I already added several of your books to my forever-growing TBR pile.

Hope you guys have a great week!

  7. I love GoodReads bookswap (although I have gone a bit crazy on it myself the past few weeks)! You will absolutely LOVE The Kite Runner - it is truly worth the read! AND you got a LOT more done during the readathon than I did ..WTG!!
